About the company

Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client, a leading company in the gift-giving and experience industry, is looking for a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead and scale its marketing efforts as the company transitions from a B2B-focused model to a combined B2B and B2C strategy.

Job Responsibilities

This role is ideal for a proven marketing leader with both strategic vision and hands-on execution skills. The CMO will play a critical role in driving growth, relaunching the 2.0 platform, expanding into new markets, and building a strong, data-driven yet creatively inspiring brand.

  • Marketing Strategy & Execution
    • Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy for both B2B and B2C markets (70% B2C, 30% B2B).
    • Build a roadmap for scaling digital and e-commerce efforts, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and impactful branding.
    • Design an omnichannel marketing approach, primarily through digital campaigns, while supporting offline activations (e.g., booths, events, physical stores).
  • Brand Development
    • Translate brand vision into compelling narratives and campaigns tailored to diverse audiences.
    • Strengthen the company’s positioning as a pioneer in meaningful experiences through cohesive storytelling across touchpoints.
  • Digital & Performance Marketing
    • Create ROI-focused performance marketing strategies with clear conversion metrics.
    • Optimize acquisition and retention through digital channels such as social media, paid ads, SEO, and email marketing.
    • Build and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and influencers to expand brand reach.
  • Leadership & Team Building
    • Act as a hands-on leader during the early phase, directly executing campaigns.
    • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team (3–4 people including digital marketers, designers, and social media specialists).
    • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and results.
  • Fundraising & Market Expansion
    • Contribute to fundraising efforts by presenting a strong marketing growth narrative to investors.
    • Support regional expansion, including launching B2C operations in Singapore.
  • Social Impact & Corporate Responsibility
    • Promote social impact initiatives by highlighting meaningful experiences for underprivileged communities.
    • Collaborate with corporate partners to embed social responsibility into engagement strategies.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Align closely with the CEO and sales teams to ensure marketing initiatives support overall business objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to leverage partnerships and maximize growth.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 8–10 years in marketing, with a strong background in digital and e-commerce.
  • Track Record: Proven success in building and scaling brands, ideally within fast-growing startups or entrepreneurial environments.
  • Performance Marketing Expertise: Deep understanding of ROI-driven marketing, analytics, and growth metrics.
  • Branding Skills: Ability to combine creative storytelling with data-driven strategies to build strong brand equity.
  • Hands-on Leadership: Capable of both developing strategy and executing campaigns across B2B and B2C markets.
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team.
  • Market Expansion Knowledge: Familiarity with regional (Southeast Asia) growth strategies is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, especially for investor-facing initiatives.
