About the company

Geekhunter is recruiting on behalf of a client that focuses on a micro-nursery (childcare center) designed for children from birth to age 3.

Job Responsibilities 

This role focuses mainly on garden and swimming pool upkeep, minor repairs, and overall site care, with light security duties at opening and closing times. It suits someone who enjoys a warm, family-friendly environment and takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and pleasant space for children, families, and staff.

Facilities & Maintenance:

• Maintain outdoor areas, including garden care and swimming pool maintenance (around twice per week).
• Handle minor repairs and upkeep inside the premises (light bulbs, small paint jobs, fixing furniture, etc.).
• Monitor building condition and report any issues requiring professional repair.
• Coordinate with external technicians or service providers when needed.
• Support overall cleanliness and functionality of facilities and equipment.

Security & Access:

• Manage gate and access control during opening and closing hours.
• Welcome and guide cars during drop-off and pick-up times.
• Ensure the premises are safely closed at the end of the day.

Job Requirements

• Reliable, proactive, and self-sufficient, with good attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a childcare and family-oriented environment.
• Basic practical skills in maintenance, gardening, and small technical repairs.
• Trustworthy and punctual, especially for access and safety duties.
• Able to work across two sites based on operational needs.
• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or housekeeping roles (in schools, residences, or hospitality).
• Basic knowledge of pool maintenance and garden care is an advantage.
