Overview

A new modern senior high school is being established in Depok as part of an expansion from an already successful education institution. The school adopts a blend of the National Curriculum and the Cambridge framework, emphasizing academic excellence, character development, and future-ready competencies. The campus will also feature a boarding/dormitory system designed to support holistic development and a structured learning environment.

The Headmaster will function as the School CEO, leading the full setup of the new school — including organizational design, building the initial leadership team, defining and executing strategic plans, and ensuring the school is fully prepared for its first student intake in 2027.

The academic philosophy and model will follow the approach used in the existing institution, while this role focuses on execution, localization, and measurable outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead overall strategic planning and execution of the school’s establishment from pre-opening to launch.
  • Design the school structure and recruit the initial leadership team (e.g., Head of Curriculum, Head of Admission, Operations Lead, teachers, and key functional roles).
  • Oversee all academic and operational setup, ensuring quality, readiness, and compliance with the school's standards and national regulations.
  • Implement the curriculum and systems, making contextual adjustments for Depok where needed.
  • Drive the student recruitment and admission strategy to achieve the first intake target before the 2027 opening.
  • Manage budgets, resources, vendor coordination, and facility readiness.
  • Provide regular progress updates and recommendations directly to the Founder.

Profile Requirements

  • Proven experience as Headmaster, Principal, or School Director in a reputable national-plus or international school.
  • Has led or played a key role in school setup or expansion projects.
  • Strong understanding of international-standard education (Cambridge, IB, or inquiry/project-based learning).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and strategic execution skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: able to plan strategically and execute hands-on.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Education or Management preferred.

Success Indicators

  • Clear strategic plan and initial leadership team in place before end of 2026.
  • Academic, operational, and facility setup completed on schedule.
  • Student intake target achieved before mid-2027.
  • Smooth opening of the school with full alignment to current standards.
