Job Role

The Vice Principal for Kindergarten supports the Head of Kindergarten in translating strategic school policies into daily operational execution. This role focuses on academic coordination, scheduling, teacher supervision, and ensuring the effective implementation of kindergarten programs aligned with the school’s standards and values.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Planning & Implementation

    • Translate school leadership directives into actionable operational plans at the kindergarten level.

    • Coordinate learning schedules, class activities, and school programs to ensure efficiency and consistency.

  • Teacher Supervision & Quality Control

    • Monitor classroom implementation to ensure teachers apply agreed teaching methods and standards.

    • Identify and propose learning resources, teaching materials, and tools required to support programs.

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting

    • Collect performance data related to students and teaching staff.

    • Prepare progress reports and identify areas requiring improvement or intervention.

  • Team Coordination & Communication

    • Lead regular coordination meetings and facilitate best-practice sharing among teachers.

    • Act as a two-way communication bridge between school leadership and teaching staff.

    • Mediate and resolve operational issues or conflicts at the unit level.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Education.

  • Experience: 

    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in early childhood education or school operations, with current role on strategic or middle management level.

  • Technical & Professional Competencies:

    • Strong planning, scheduling, and time-management skills.

    • Ability to lead peers without full formal authority.

    • Good understanding of educational standards and assessments for kindergarten level.

    • Computer literacy (good working level).

  • Personality & Character:

    • Eager to help and service-oriented.

    • Trustworthy with high integrity.

    • Courteous and respectful in communication.

    • Passionate and supportive of school programs.

  • Language: English (professional and academic level) for both reporting and communication.
