Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client, a leading global provider of cutting-edge technologies and innovative services.

Job Responsibilities

• Installation & Configuration: Set up virtual machines, software, and operating systems; prepare packages for project deployment. 
• User & Access Management: Create, modify, and remove user accounts; manage permissions; reset credentials securely.
• Maintenance & Monitoring: Conduct routine system checks, analyse logs, optimise performance, apply updates/patches, and ensure reliable data backups.
• Security: Implement security protocols, manage firewalls, monitor for threats, and enforce access controls.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and virtual machines.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and IT policies.
• Disaster Recovery: Manage backup, replication, and restoration processes using snapshots or other recovery strategies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in senior-level roles.
• Proficiency in Linux environments (RHEL, Ubuntu) with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and basic network administration.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud, VMware, or Nutanix environments.
• Skilled in scripting with Bash and Python for automation.
• Familiarity with application security concepts (WAF, API protection, bot detection, Layer 7 DDoS protection).
• Understanding of replication and backup strategies, firewall management, and load balancing.
• Experience in VM provisioning, NAS configuration, OS installation, and package management.
• Ability to support communication services, network infrastructure, and multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security standards (EDR/XDR, OS hardening, firewall hardening, ISO27001).
• Experience in maintaining disaster recovery centres, data centres, backhaul servers, and monitoring cloud/server performance.
• Familiarity with PAM tools (e.g., Segura, CyberArk) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to produce clear, detailed technical documentation.
