Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client, a world leading provider of the technology and the services required to seamlessly plan and manage mining operations. With experience for over 40 years where our client has worked in partnership with the mining industry to provide an unrivalled range of solutions across the mining value chain. Their customers are in over 100 countries, and they are serviced from our client local offices in over 20 countries.

Job Responsibilities

• Fix prioritised customer defects from all regions
• Develop new improvements and enhancements
• Work with other developers to deliver a high-quality product within the defined release schedule
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure an effective implementation of the product

Job Requirements

• A tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology related disciplines.
• Communicate in English, both verbal and written
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming in C#
• 7+ years experience in developing desktop software products
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
• Self-starter, motivated and positive
• Ability to work effectively in a global team and communicate with people of differing technical and cultural backgrounds
• Able to mentor junior developers

Desirable Skills

• Experience with C and/or C++ a big bonus!
• Experience with .NET WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
• Experience in Agile/Sprint development
• Experience developing with SQL Server and/or Oracle
