About the company

Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client, a company pioneering an industry transformation by revolutionising the shrimp sector through an advanced management system.

Job Responsibilities

• Accountable for all aspects of shrimp production and cultivation, including pre-stocking preparation, grow-out processes, harvest, and post-harvest activities. 
• Act as a strategic problem solver for production-related challenges by integrating leadership, aquaculture expertise, hands-on experience, and new insights.
• Responsible for the effective utilization of Jala hardware and software applications.
• Maintain regular records of feed and material usage, and report periodically to the supervisor.
• Develop comprehensive annual and cycle-based production plans covering all cultivation phases, to be submitted to the Head of Cultivation.
• Document daily pond activities, conduct weekly sampling, and record all relevant cultivation progress in the Pond Daily Logbook.
• Prepare end-of-cycle cultivation reports with measurable analysis and accurate conclusions to support continuous improvement in future production cycles.
• Foster a culture of mentorship, empathy, and guidance among subordinates, including Assistant Technicians, Pond Guides, and Feeders.
• Promote harmonious working relationships within the assigned block, across blocks, and with other departments to ensure operational efficiency.
• Instill a sense of ownership and responsibility among cultivation staff for maintaining and caring for company assets within their work area.
• Supervise the use and upkeep of all infrastructure and equipment related to the cultivation process.
• Ensure consistent adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for facility maintenance by coordinating with relevant support departments.
• Responsible for submitting timely and accurate reports to the Head of Cultivation and Pond Manager.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Fisheries or a related field. 
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in shrimp aquaculture or similar operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of shrimp farming practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and team coordination capabilities.
• Willing to be assigned to Banyuwangi or Palu.
