Job Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve complex network issues with efficiency and precision.
Configure, manage, and maintain critical network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and web application firewalls (WAF).
Conduct regular maintenance and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
Monitor network health, analyse traffic patterns and logs, and identify bottlenecks or performance concerns.
Strengthen network security by implementing policies and managing firewalls effectively.
Develop and update network diagrams, maintain technical documentation, and ensure accurate records of incidents and configurations.
Escalate advanced issues and collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure seamless operations.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Level 1 support engineers.
Manage and troubleshoot routine operating system issues across Linux and Windows environments.
Support and maintain disaster recovery readiness to safeguard business continuity.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in senior-level roles.
Proficiency in Linux environments (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS).
Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols, and switching concepts (e.g., VLANs).
Expertise in firewall management, VPNs, and threat monitoring using FortiGate solutions.
Hands-on experience with cloud environments, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including CloudVPN, Interconnect Partner, CloudNAT, and CloudRouter.
Skilled in analysing logs, packet captures, and monitoring data to diagnose and resolve issues.
Familiarity with application security measures such as WAF, API protection, bot detection, and Layer 7 DDoS protection.
Knowledge of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Centre concepts.
Certifications:
- Mandatory: Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, FortiGate NSE 1–4, Professional Cloud Network Engineer.
- Value Added: Google Cloud Engineer Certification, FortiGate NSE 4–8
